February 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province will be 3.01 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Maumere at 3.46 percent.

Abstract

In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province was 3.01 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.00. The highest inflation occurred in Maumere at 3.46 percent with a CPI of 106.56 and the lowest occurred in Waingapu at 2.22 percent with a CPI of 105.70.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.04 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.80 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.15 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.02 percent; health group by 1.66 percent; transportation group at 3.79 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.02 percent; education group at 0.16 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.04 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.65 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the information, communication and financial services group by 0.26 percent;

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for East Nusa Tenggara Province in February 2024 was -0.16 percent or there was deflation. Meanwhile, the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for East Nusa Tenggara Province in February 2024 is 0.81 percent
