Evaluation of data on food crops and horticulture

On Friday 14 June 2024, the Kupang Regency Central Statistics Agency held a meeting with the Kupang Regency Agriculture and Food Security Service to evaluate data collection on food crops and horticulture. Data on food and horticultural crops collected by the agricultural department is used to calculate estimates of the area/number of crops, production and average farming. The data collection period is carried out in annual and monthly periods. Invitees who attended this event were the head of the Kupang Regency Agriculture and Resilience Service, employees and also agricultural officers from every sub-district in Kupang Regency. In her speech, the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security, Mrs. Amin Juariah, hoped that all agricultural officers would be able to collect their data on time because of the importance of data on food crops (palawija) and horticulture for policy making at the central level.
Thanks were also conveyed to BPS Kupang Regency for facilitating this meeting and hopes that in the future there will be more meetings to strengthen coordination.
